107-acre solar panel farm in Nottinghamshire countryside rejected

“Plans to develop an ambitious solar power plant near Southwell have been rejected by Newark and Sherwood District Council.

Councillors voting against the proposals highlighted the scale of the works put forward, with many citing the recommendations of the local conservation officer to the committee, that approval not be granted.

The plans, submitted last summer by agents Pegasus Group on behalf of developer JBM Solar Projects, entailed the development of just over 107 acres of land north of Halloughton”
